Now it's time to delve into the possibilities of what we might be tasting at Kona Wine Market this Friday, the 13th of November, yes, it's Friday the 13th, get over it and join us for a frightfully good tasting right here at Kona Wine Market from 3 pm till 6 pm. Time now to reward yourselves and sample some fine vinos, here we go: ----------------------- Chloe Rosé 2019 Chloe Central Coast Rosé is a dry, bright and delicious wine that is light and elegant in style. Delicate notes of fresh strawberries, raspberries and watermelon dance on the nose and palate, unfolding into a crisp and well-balanced wine with bright acidity and a refreshing finish. $19.00 ------------------------- Truchard Chardonnay 2017 ws 89 From the cooler, lower lying vineyard blocks on the estate, 25-45 year old vines allow for a complex and balanced Chardonnay. Floral aromas of green apple, pineapple and jasmine with hints of nutmeg, fig, and toasted oak. The mouth feel is clean and bright with flavors of fresh pear, lemon and lime. Firm acidity provides a crisp finish of citrus, mineral and spice. $31.00 -------------------------- Mer Soleil Reserve Pinot Noir 2017 v 90 we 88 With the alluring color of dark plums, this wine features scents of ripe cherries with cocoa, pomace, blueberry, toasted wood and a soft, powdery whiff of old-fashioned lipstick. The palate is all about texture - entry is soft, with a round, complete quality. Flavors of cherry cobbler mingle with cola notes and hints of anise. Tannins are structured yet extremely fine, providing a lush, lingering mouth feel. On the finish, a wisp of acidity adds balance and freshness, a reminder of this wine's origins in a cool, coastal region of California. $37.00 ---------------------------- Chateau du Moulin Rouge Haut-Médoc 2016 we 91 Warm berry-pastry aromas with mulberries and boysenberries, too. The palate has a long, supple and juicy feel with a wealth of rich berries. Plenty to offer here, this has a plush array of ripe dark fruit, driving the palate long and true. A blend of 50 per cent merlot, 40 per cent cabernet sauvignon and ten per cent cabernet franc. $40.00 -------------------------- Believe it or not these wines will be available for you to just walk in and taste, that's pretty incredible, right?, but that's Kona Wine Market, pretty incredible, we are.
