We feel we have a singular opportunity to make opulent, intriguing Roussanne. The varietal is extremely slow to grow and mature through the season and the conditions at Stolpman combine to allow for even, albeit late, ripening. Our southern location near 34 degrees latitude gives the Roussanne grapes intense solar radiation to tan the fruit their namesake “Rousse” or Rust color. Limestone soils and cold nights combine to maintain acidity late in the year. Low humidity and high winds keep the grapes clear of mold and for better or worse, we never get significant rain fall through harvest. La Cuadrilla takes every possible effort in the vineyard to optimize the Roussanne fruit. Most notably, in late July we pull leaves away from the fruit to allow direct sun penetration. A month prior to forecasted harvest, every grape cluster is rotated 180 degrees to facilitate an even sun-tan. We are extremely proud that our 19 acres of Roussanne now represent a world-wide benchmark for the varietal.

Bright, and fresh. The flavors and aromas are reminiscent of peaches, lemon curd, white grapefruit, and passion fruit with perfectly balanced notes of citrus, stone fruit. The fullness of the mid-palate is complemented by a crisp, lengthy finish. |

A deep, impressive ruby-red color that suggests concentrated grapes harvested at just the right moment. This Cabernet Sauvignon´s nose is governed by pleasant notes of plum, raspberry and sweet spices, while in the mouth, chocolate and subtle hints of vanilla can be appreciated. A very structured, balanced, long and elegant wine. A perfect option to accompany burgers, grilled meats and chorizo. It also goes great with strong cheeses, lamb, hearty stews and pasta, beef -marinated or barbequed - poultry, and highly seasoned sauces. |

It is a perfumed wine, with elegant aromas of ripe black fruit recalling fig and blackcurrant, typical of the Cabernet Sauvignon from this area. The Syrah makes its presence felt with delicate aromas of sweet spices and leather that heighten the character. In palate is fresh and juicy on the palate, due in no small part to the percentage of Tempranillo in the blend. The Carmenère lends smooth, round tannins for a lightly sweet sensation that lingers on its pleasing finish.
Food Pairing: Red Meat, Charcuterie, Lamb, White Meat, Cheese.
