Restaurants are a cornerstone of life in New York, so when dining rooms were forced to close in March, it was a palpable loss for the city. Many local Wine Spectator Restaurant Award winners have since found ways to serve guests comfortably and safely outdoors, making use of everything from sidewalk space to backyard gardens. Courtesy of Zachys Georgio Pinchiorri has helped build one of the world's most impressive wine lists at his Florence landmark, Enoteca Pinchiorri. Zachys auction house scored big in its European debut Sept. 12, thanks to a consignment from the Grand Award–winning restaurant Enoteca Pinchiorri. The New York–based auction house sold over 2,500 bottles from restaurant owner Giorgio Pinchiorri's world-renowned cellar in Florence, Italy, bringing in a total of $4.1 million.
